In Seychelles large and successful enterprises are still driven by prominent male leaders and there is a need for more women to take centre stage. Scores of studies highlight that women is essential for growth and the women in business is a driver of development as they can generate both wealth and wellbeing for their families and communities and country. According to reports countries lose out on economy and job creation when women are excluded from business and entrepreneurship which directly affects the GDP growth rates.
“Women leading the future of investment" forum, to be held in celebration of International Women’s Day highlights the essential role of women in investment, entrepreneurship and industry.This half-day It will be an opportunity to talk about achievements, foster dialogue on advancing women's representation, and inspiring future leaders through shared insights and success stories.

Veronica leads the Regulatory section within the Aquaculture Department of the SFA, overseeing licensing, compliance, and sector development. Joining in 2015, she advanced from Senior Aquaculture Officer. She holds an MSc in Applied Aquatic Biology and a BSc (Hons) in Marine Biology.
