Industrial Designs
An Industrial Design constitutes the ornamental aspect of an article. It may consist of three-dimensional features, such as the shape of an article, or two-dimensional features such as patterns, lines or colour.
Steps to Register an Industrial Design

Filing and payment of application at the IP Office of the Registrar Division

Information identifying the applicant (full name, address, nationality)

The name and address of a Representative for service if the applicant has no business in Seychelles

The class to which the article belongs

Drawings of 3D design or photographs or other adequate graphic representation of the product in 2D

An indication of the kind of products for which the industrial design is to be used

An Industrial Design shall not be protected, where:
- It is contrary to Public Order and morality; or
- The design is functional and serves solely to obtain a technical result
Duration of Industrial Design
The registration and protection of an Industrial Design shall be valid for a period of 5 years from the filing date of the application for registration which may be extended for a further two consecutive periods of 5 years on payment of the prescribed fee.
