SIB visits Vision Care Eye Clinic

SIB’s Investment Facilitation team met with Mr. Herman Holst, the owner of Vision Care for a visit.

Vision care has now been in existence for 16 years in Seychelles. Mr. Herman Holst, as he prefers to be called by his staff  “Herman” is originally from Germany. He moved to Namibia, where he set up eye care shops but then decided to move to Seychelles. He and his wife now have a total of five eye care shops in Seychelles.  In total, Vision care employs 34 staff, of which 8 are expatriate optometrists. Mr. Holst also offers on-the-job training for interns.

The owners actively promote their business, by offering special offers for children, and free eye test screening for adults. Such special offers are advertised on radio, TV and on their Facebook page.

Other services offered include eye tests for diabetes and glaucoma tests.  Vision care also offers a wide range of frames for glasses, which come from Germany, France, Denmark, Italy and Poland.  The prices meet every budget.

After the meeting with Mr. Holst, the team was given a show-round of the eye shop.
